I hope someone can help with this? - Have a 6500 plotter that was working fine down on the south coast last week. Transported the boat by road to the Wash (quite ordinary), put it in the water, changed the C-Map card of the south coast for one of the Wash etc and now I am unable to get a GPS signal.
I have been through all the menus in the manual and on the plotter including the 'satellite' one, have tried 'factory reset', have tried 'Reset GPS', have checked all connections, cable etc, have left it switched on for over 2hrs - and still no GPS.
Everything else works, just no GPS signal being received. Any ideas / help greatly appreciated.

Internal aerial wire connection failing ---this seems a common fault as I had this on a B/W version & there have also been a recent-ish post of a similar problem:(

Delving into the internet a bit more it seems that this is a common problem on the Trackfish range - lots saying contact cleaner on all connections followed by WD40 has cured the problem - others saying they needed to replace the receiver 'mushroom' completely - others saying it was an internal issue only sorted by sending the display unit away????????????????
