I have a horrible feeling this is cooked, on account of it being fitted 2ft from the radome.

Q1Has anyone any experience of minimum safe distance for active GPS fitted on the radar arch? (2kw radome)

Q2 Does anyone know a really good electronics engineer who could fix mine, if it is cooked?
Thanks in advance

Bad form to reply to my own post, but the weirdest thing is this GPS dome thing works a lot better upside down than right side up. I am guessing this is something to do with the dish at the top of the unit aka a sattelite dish inside the GPS aerial dome.
Make of this what you will....

Anyhow, on the sattelite screen, the signal strength is initially shown by vertical red bars, one per recieved sattelite. As locks with the data happen, one by one these bars turn green. I noticed today, some of the bars occasionally turn blue. It does this wether the dome is the right way up or not... Nothing in the manual explains this blue colour. Any Navman experts out there care to shed any light please?
