Hi, I have a 5500 Navman chartplotter which is connected to the navbus, cannot get my Navman DSC to connect through the Navbus, also have a nasa gps repeater which will not connect either, so far the navbus which is supposed to connect everything, connects nothing, so before my hair turns completely grey and I pull it all out, any ideas anybody.

Had a similar Northstar 557 unit last boat and they did not provide the cable core details for me to hook in a NASA AIS engine. After a lot of hassling they issued me the connection detail drawing for the cable, like it was a state defence secret.

If it may help I will see if I still have it.

You have a choice of 3 inputs b ut yellow is unused.

Green or white, using black as the -ve ground. You can pout up to 3 NMEA input talkers on one of these inputs, but add them one at a time to make sure.

I presume you have the Navbus Junction Box?

Hi, yes I have the navman junction box, connected everything according to the distructions, checked and checked again, connected the nasa unit according to the nmea input stated, comes up no signal, have tried connecting to navbus with the navman cables for the dsc, nothing, the navbus works as it powers the chartplotter.

Yes please, thanks, will be on the boat over the weekend so going to try tackling it again.
