Does anyone have a copy of the Installation Manual/Panel Cutout Template that they could scan and email to me??

For some reason, I cannot find it, though I am sure it was in the box when I bought the radio.

The Operation Manual is still in the box, but does not have the connection information or panel cutout information.

The other Navman electronics have installation and operation in the one booklet.

If you can help me, either PM me or reply here, and I will PM my email address to you.

Thanks in advance.

I could scan, but is a rectangle defined by four 12mm or 1/2" dia holes on centres 133.0mm or 5.24" by 43.0 mm or 1.7"

PM me if that is not clear

(gives a rectangle with round corners 145mm x 55mm)

That'll do for me.

I just don't know where the installation manual disappeared to.

Is there any info on the connections - colours etc, and what they do? I need NMEA+ out.

The operation manual states that with NMEA or Navbus, the 7200 will "communicate" with other Navman units - but what info??

I already have the 4380 Fish sending data to the 5500 Plotter, so maybe it will allow me to see the baro pressure. Only one way to see!! Fit it and try it.

many thanks

Colours...

Think you'll find that Yellow on the 7200 is NMEA IN+, and Green is NMEA IN-. White should be NMEA OUT+. Orange and Blue are usually used for NavBus, and this might be the easiest way to show baro info on your plotter (you'll need to set up the output options in the 7200's system menu). Why not give Navman a ring and ask for a copy of the installation info? Strange that it's not on their website, too.

Where are you mounting the set?

I have put mine by the chart table; the fist mike just about reaches the companionway. I frequently sail single handed.

The DSC alarm goes off quite often. This is cancellable on the set. so I dive into the cabin. I then find that it is a distress call or whatever from the eastern end of the Solent; I am just off Hengistbury Head.

I am now wondering if the set should be in the cockpit. Checked with navman as LBS, and they said that the front is sufficiently waterproof for this.

I think I would only put it under a hatch

My boat is a Westerly Konsort Duo - motor sailer. The present VHF is fitted to port of the starboard steering position, and the Navman 7200 (replacement) will be "reachable" from there. The fistmike will be alongside it, and will allow me to use it from the steering position.

Everything is in place to fit it - other than the hole cutout, the size of which I didn't know, until a while ago.
