Hi All,

Just about ready to chuck the computer overboard. I have tried communicating with Navionics and Fresh Data. Their staff have lost the ability to think and can only read from a script or redirect you to a help page that you have already read. So are as useful and helpful as a chocolate tea pot.

The issue at hand is this.

Their instructions and web page assumes that your update card in unregistered and therefore prompts and takes you through the process of registering the card and down loading the chart installer.

I have done all of this and did so over a year ago. It was an immensely painful experience and not one I wish to repeat.

But can I find any instruction as to how to use my already updated and registered card(s)? No I cannot. The people on the phone don't know the people on the chat system don't know either, the email support people don't know.

Surely someone out there has updated their Navionics card more than once.

Please if someone can tell me what to do I would be very grateful.

Why this is sooooooo painful is beyond me. You should be able stick the card in and press the button and why Navionics can't put a simple set of instructions on their website is also beyond me. The help just sends you in a circle each time ending in an invitation to buy an update card!!

If I had my time over I would never have got involved with Raymarne and Navionics the updates are just too painful and too time consuming.

Can you perhaps explain a bit more what your specific issue is and perhaps someone on here may be able to help.

Also, might be useful to specify
- what type of card you are updating - both chart type and card format (eg microSD, CF etc)
- what Web browser using (doesn't work with some, such as Edge)
Also, have you perhaps passed your year of free updates so need to pay?

I have successfully updated a Platinum chart on CF card (after switching from Edge to Chrome) but it was the first update so not attempted a second update yet

As Dunedin says, more info might be helpful

I've updated Navionics cards many times without any difficulty, my own and other peoples so it can be done :)
