A friend with a new Sailproof tablet has found in setting it up with the Navionics app that a new glitch by Navionics means that the 'log' window (SOG etc) cannot be made to appear at the top of a screen used in landscape.
Navionics have confirmed to him today that this is a newly introduced glitch affecting tablets (possibly only android) and suggested that he will have to use portrait mode if he wants to use this basic feature.
Moral for the time being seems to be to avoid updating the app (or downloading it if you want landscape) since the current version introduces the fault.

Yes,might be android only,Depends whether you have the updated Navionics app. - to see if the same glitch affects ios.
Anybody with the previous version running on android will also get the landscape feature successfully - as I do
Seems that the data is supposed now to appear in a band across the top, rather than in a 'bubble' at top left.

well, maybe the iOS version is the previous one, ie not yet upgraded as the feature is still in the bubble not a band. But there isn’t a newer version as of right now.
