I bought the package about 3 yrs ago ( i thought for life - except updates) but now it displays with no fdetail and a heading "subscription £39.95".

is this a subscription service only now?

they revise the version of the app every now and again, and if the software updates (which may happen automatically depending on your iOS settings), you find yourself having to pay.

It's still pretty good value, I think, for all that mapping.

OTOH, the Maxsea app looks promising - I've just been playing with it at home this week. £35 for all UKHO charts in raster format. Better than the Memory Map raster app, I reckon.
