I have downloaded navionics europe hd and uk ireland holland as seperate apps assuming they would merge . Ihave spoken to navionics and it seems i should have downloaded the second area from within the opened app ? anyone else have this problem ? do they merge ?

I think you download the app and then buy the charts,so as long as you have bought the same tyoe of chart the app will open whatever you have brought.. Which is what navionics are saying?
Remember you then need to cut what part of the chart you want and download it...it doesn't just open it all up in one massive download just bcz you paid for it. After all you probably don't want all of it....

No they won't merge the way that you've done it. You need to download it from within the app.

But the solution is simple, look at your emails and find the one from Apple invoicing you for the second purchase, dispute the transaction explaining that Navionics have confused you and you're going to buy it again from within the app. Apple will refund you and away you go. It is confusing by Navionics but they have to work within the Apple framework which is that apps are individual discreet programmes.

Thanks, I tried that but my charts subscriptions have run out ,i updated my western europe yesterday but it will not let me update my uk ireland from within the EU app ,it will make me pay full wack instead of the discount update price.

thanks for your reply ,you have to download a second chart from within the first app ie the Europe Hd is either a separate app or a download from within the first chart one orders. I downloaded Uk Ireland first and then downloaded Western Europe HD assuming they would merge but they do not . I think there should be a warning as many UK customers will want UK and Europe joined as one chart . i cannot for instance chart a course from Falmouth Uk to Morbihan France without openinf two seperate appps. I understand about downloading individual areas .
