I've got a nice new Navionics gold XL3 chart on a compact flash card, from LIBS, to go with my shiny new Raymarine C80 which should be arriving in a few days. Does anyone know of any (Free or v. cheap) PC software which i can use just to view the charts on the card, and perhaps do some rudimentary passage planning. I understand navionics and Raymarine are in the process of developing some software which allows data to be transfered from a home PC to the C80, via CF card, so I'll get that when it comes out but I just want to be able to view the charts at home when I'm not on the boat and plan the odd passage for now.

I am in the same situation and have been trying to find some pc software. There doesn't seem to be any until navionics and Raymarine release theirs. PC Plotter used to run navionics but they don't seem to exist anymore

Thanks - looks good- all i need now is some software to do passage planning using my Navionics charts and output the waypoints to a text file!

I spoke to the Navionics people at LIBS, and apparently the software is in development, but no tentative release date yet. I'm guessing that they are having to get something written pronto in order to compete with C-Map. They took my e-mail address, and promised to let me know when they knew more...

Still waiting!!

I have same hardware and software and same issue, at Navionics site there is 4 mfg, mostly European, who will use Navionics cards but lowest price seems to be about $500, a little steep!
