Navionics expiry ?

Apols if this has already been answered , did a search did not find quite what i was wondering.

I have 2 versions of Navionics Uk and Holland vesion.

The first is running on an old iPad 1 and is version 4.7.2

The second is running on a Samsung Galaxy Note 2 and is version 4.2.4

The first is a lot older than the second.

I notice if I go to Charts and Upgrades on the Andrioid version i see that my charts have "242 days left"

On the earlier Ipad version there are no such messages in the Upgreades section at all so maybe it lasts forever.


Can anyone advise what happens when my 242 days are up ?
Do I lose the ability to update the charts or do i lose Navionics and have to buy a new version ?

The latest iPad version is 7.3.1
The expiry is for updates. My understanding is that at the end of the time we shall have to pay for another years updates if we wish to. Otherwise the chart will still be usable but with no updates.

not too bad if I only lose the updates.

i guess I can't update to the latest iPad version cos my iPad 1 can only run something like iOS 5. something and the latest versions run on later os's.

it does offer me an update to Navionics+ which I have not looked at yet.

the android version is already Navionics+
