navionics card with tidal information missing and rubbish aftersales s

Just had re-telephone Navionics in Plymouth because they didnt reply to my call on Wednesday.

two issues:

First one
i bought the Nav Planner software so i could work out passages at home.
when you look at the tidal diamonds it doesnt show any tidal information. you can toggle on and off a tidal information button, but that only shows the speed and direction of tide with little pink arrows.
It does not show time and heights of tides
CRAP or what!

second.
when loaded into the plotter on the boat the tidal diamond shown just outside of my home port of Lowestoft has no information visible. i have to move to another port then get the alamanac out for the differences to check the tide heights and times.

Navionics @ Plymouth solution:
go to their web site and complete some stupid form called a MARINE DISCREPANCY REPORT.
what i need is a card with correct information...or with information even!
the card is only 2 weeks old!


next time i look to change the plotter i dont think i shall be looking for anything that contains navionics cards
what a thoroughly crap response. after sales service?
dont think they have heard of it.

Good warning - I was about to buy a Raymarine C80 plotter which I believe takes Navionics - I think they sugested the navionics gold card for that sort of thing - the one they showed me had all of the tidal information on it heights etc and I could select any port I wanted to with search button and it displayed tides and heights there to - als diamonds showed flows etc - also had nice piccys of the ports and marinas to boot with all information on them ..... maybe thats only the gold card though .... Ill double check before I actually buy anything ..

If you want to try I have a handheld with navionics gold of our area. Welcome to play if you wish. Now use simrad with c-map on boat. seems pretty good.

I bought the Navionics Gold Card a couple of months back note enclosed with the card which said I was entitled to a free update. Just fill the reply details in.

Did this and get a compliment slip back that says you must include your card. Not likely am I trusting Royal Mail with £100 odd quids worth of card. Navionics neglected to tell me I could update on-line

Cheers, I may take a look to see what it can offer - not that I can get the C80 yet need to re arrange the consile first - but it would be good to see what the difference is ......

I have the E120 system with Navionics Platinum which I have found to be very good. I haven't tried the pc version so I note the warning.
I think the pictures of ports etc are only available on the platinum version, not the gold.

i've got latest c70 and 28g card and the tidal data is there but its way out, i havent got round to investigating it.
