Navionics and Nauticpath

I think I read somewhere that there is an offer to upgrade a Nauticpath chart to the Navionics Gold which I believe has more detailed information.
Does anyone know about this offer or did I dream it?

anyone got an idea of the best price for the navionics chart covering the whole of the UK and if they can be bought second hand.

Anyone any idea how eay it is to get a updated version of your current chart Navionics or Nauticpath can it be done over the net or does it have to be sent back to the manufacturer ( what equipment is required if it can be done over the internet

Now that would be interesting. Once I got to the Algarve, and onwards into the med., the Nauticpath charts are crap in terms of detail. I have C-map on my PC and the difference is incredible.

I think they are derivatives of Transas Charts, which I think were Russian.... so the Balttic and N. Europe seems to be OK, but beyond that, almost total crap!

I've only used the Nauticpath around the Clyde as I have only had it a few weeks and it seems okay ther but time will tell.
If Navionics is likely to be much better I would upgrade but would rather do it without spending another £160+ if possible.

Hi I have a 2004 navionics gold chart for sale covering the south and west coast of the UK and northern France, not sure of they offer a correction service. I have just upgraded to the latest one covering the whole of the UK as I am sailing the east coast over the next couple of weeks. If you are interested pm me.

Another question or two;
I have the card reader for the nauticpath chart and can see it on the product emulator as instructed by one of the forumites.
Can I save waypoints etc onto another SD card and transfer them to the chartplotter?
Manipulation of the chart data appears very limited ie I can add waypoints etc but don't seem able to do much else.
Any more help on downloads etc gratefully received.
