Is anyone here familiar with the NavigationPlanner software? I can't find anything which talks about time zones (other than Moon & Sun information) - e.g. when it calculates a route time for a departure on each hour of the day, is that departure time in UTC, UTC + UK daylight savings, or local time at the route start point (including daylight savings?).

To answer my own question, in case it helps anyone else, the times given for departure when using the optimum plan feature are in the same time zone as nearest tidal diamond to the departure point. The software uses Navionics charts which have the tide data embedded. Full marks to Gavin at Yachting Software who answered my email promptly late last night and continued the discussion today with very quick responses.

This has revealed some oddities of the tide data on Navionics charts. E.g. the tide diamond Brouweshavensche Gat 02 idoesn't explicitly state a time zone so one assumes the tide times are UK inc. BST (this seems to tally with other tide tables), whilst for nearby Brouwershavensche Gat 08 it flags up as Central European Time (presumably not including any daylight savings). This inconsistency is repeated across a number of diamonds.
