Navigational warning of sorts

On Monday the 29th May the Volvo Ocean Race will be holding their in port race in the Solent. The start gun will be fired at 1300GMT to the west of Portsmouth harbour entrance and take the boats on a westerly course down the Solent before returning to Portsmouth.
There will therefore be a considerable amount of spectator vessels in the Solent. I also believe an exclusion zone will be in place but cannot confirm the location of this.

OK so when we are heading back to Chi from Yarmouth on the monday, we should ensure we are on a Starboard tack then, yes?

yes -you can try that but at the end of the day I would stay out of the way of a 70ft boat doing 30kts!

They're likely to be the over taking vessel then ....

My advice did not have anything to do with the boats in particular but more due to the fact there will be an exclusion zone in the Solent marked by Orange buoys and patrolled by marshalls in a similar way as they fleet review. The race area is east of Bembridge....
