I have recently brought my first boat, a Sea Swift 500. She has pretty much all of the electrics I could wish for, all powered by two batteries connected to each other. They in turn are charged by the Mercury 40hp 4 stroke on the back.
My aim for the boat is to use it for fishing around the Dartmouth area.
Can anybody recommend a set of Navigation lights that would be suitable for her? What should I be looking for?
Many thanks.

Congrats on your new boat :D

See

and

Rules are pretty clear and there are several certified types and designs to choose from, also for your boat category.

When new to boating check this

If you like, there are several apps available too. Google for 'Nautical App' to find eg. http://safe-skipper.com/nautical-apps/

perhaps look at the way your electrics are configured ? I suggest you keep the batteries separate, with one dedicated for engine starting, so that if you by chance flatten one battery with nav lights and electronics, you have power to to start the donk.

And just for safety's sake, are you planning to have a little backup o/board ?
