It took three hours the last time i wuz driven thro' glasgow going north by a recently qualified yachtmaster who happened to have been at the university there. at each and every boozer, park bench, street corner and tandoori restaurant he had a story to tell.

This year, we are pressed for time so rather than drive through glasgow, the route around glasgow and over the erskine bridge would be quicker. I have a recording of Jimmy Shand singing "I belong to Glasgow" which I intend playing to make up for the loss of these treasured memories but are there any other songs?

Judging by the forecast weather for Friday, a few lost hours in Glasgow could well be a cunning plan!

I too cross the Erskine Bridge twice daily. Be aware that for the next 9 weeks it is down to one carriageway so at times there will be delays.

I understand that your companion is partial to the music of the Sensational Alex Harvey Band, and in particular, a song called "The Faith Healer", which is sung in suitably Glaswegian tones.

I have also heard that he likes to match actions to words, when listening to music, so watch out for the line: "Can I put my hands on you?", when he reaches the chorus.............. /forums/images/graemlins/crazy.gif

You may not know this....

But there has been a meeting if the committee and it has been resolved that you and Wee Jamesie will be picking up the LJSadler from the Airport.
I have an Espace load of gear to get up to the boat including a pair of redesigned rowlocks for the dinghy which Muzzy will be invited to fit on the grounds that if he ends up needing a rescue again its hardly going to be my fault.
Whilst to share your company in the Swedish Hearse would have been most pleasant 5 of us plus gear is pushing it a bit - especially with both you and LJSadler being such long sods. A benefit, no doubt of being born when meat was cheap.
