Anyone know much about these fairly aged crew-substitutes?
Mine suffered from a drenching which didn't stop it working, but the bleeper is constantly on. It should only sound when setting or when there's a problem.
I took the case apart and dried the guts of the thing, but had to disconnect the loudspeaker.
Is there a component which activates the bleeper I could change out... or should I start saving beer vouchers?

I can't help with your question, but I do have one, so we can form a club!

Mine is generally reliable, but it frequently loses Nav Lock when under sail. Funnily, it doesn't do this so much when under engine.

I suspect fixing your pilot is going to prove difficult...
