I have an ancient Raytheon Navcenter 600 chart plotter which is (usually) very useful as it is able to swing out into the companion way , saving me the bother of going into the cabin area. However, now when I power it up it makes the right noises, but the unit does not light up. I've seen a previous post re a failed system, and about replacing the internal battery, but I'm not sure that the unit can be saved, which is a pity. (BTW I have a modern SH plotter inside).
Is there anyone here that still uses this old plotter and could give some useful advice, before it gets sent to the recycling centre?
Many thanks in advance.
