Nav lights, no white forward

A forward white in conjunction with a stern white would indicate a powered vessel in excess of 50 meters. How big is your boat?

Move the white higher

Move the white to the front of the cabin roof so your looking at the back of it

Make up a plate that extends under the light to limit spill downwards (no idea if that’s going to help with your setup.

Don’t poke your head out :)

As you’re under 12m you can get away with an all round white (anchor) as your steaming light so do away with the front facing white and get a new longer pole to get you anchor light higher.

Just remember to turn on anchor and nav lights when running.

The OEM set up on mine is 2 separate whites (facing forward and back) on the same pole next to each other so it’s acting the same as an anchor light anyway. Don’t want to ruin the lines with a nasty stern light on the back! :)

As others have said, if you're under 12m the normal configuration is a single all-round white, plus port & starboard lights. My 10.8m boat has this as standard - the "anchor light" switch only operates the all-round white, while the "nav lights" switch operates the all-round white and the port & starboard lights together.

tnx, that seems the best compromise, longer pole or a bottom plate on the anchor light might do the trick too

i'll go and chop up some ply to see what sort of plate i need
