We are starting to look for our next boat, having had a Mobo for the last 3 and a Moody 31 for 6years before that, we are leaning back towards sailing again.
The Nauticat 32 or 321 has caught our eye. Does anyone have any worthwhile input on them.
A used 321 is still likely to out of reach, just wondered what year the the 32 appear on the scene.

Btw we were really surprised to see that a 321 is Cat A and and 331is Cat B, if anything we thought it would be the other way round.

The vaguaries of the RCD! The volume of the wheelhouse of the 331 is greater than that of the deck saloon of the 321 and is considered by those who know better than me, to thereby give greater righting moment.

Even so, I'm surprised the 331 is cat B - may be something to do with the down-flooding angle and one of the hatches.

Nauticats are all superbly built. The decks saloon versions also sail reasonably well though the rig has a lot of weight to pull along. The motor sailer versions are OK off the wind in a decent breeze otherwise... well, thankfully the engine is large.

I have a 331. It's more of a state of mind than 'sailing'. It does sail quite well tho - bearing in mind the weight (9 tons), with all three sails up and has the 75 hp engine to get you home/in the right place etc. V comfortable, well made, quirky but looks a picture. I saw the 321 at the LBS back in Jan; loved it; very similar in layout to the 331 except for cockpit entrance instead of side doors into the pilot house. So would suggest for someone who wants more sailing capability rather than solid plodding , it's the one to go for. I'm just old, I guess.

Thanks for your comments, we have yet to see one in the flesh, but seems to tick all the right boxes. Now just need to find one.
