Nauticalia Tide Clock

Hi
Does anyone know where I can get a new 'movement' for a Nauticalia Tide Clock? I'm after the AA battery powered clock 'gubbins' that will give me time and tide to replace the faulty unit in the clock at our local Lifeboat Station.Please do not suggest contacting Nauticalia themselves,I've tried that and they were as much help as using petrol to extinguish a fire.

Bert T- Thanks,if I get no joy from the lead in the duplicate thread I will give them a go.I havn't tried phoneing around the chandleries,rather,I thought going straight to the top and asking Nauticalia themselves would be the best way forward.

I just tried google and ebay have any number of tide clock mechanisms, all of which appear to be similar to the generic little black box on the back of so many clocks these days. Cost about £6.

I have a 6" dia brass cased clock and matching barometer I bought from Sewells of Liverpool about 25 years ago, the " AA battery powered clock 'gubbins' " in mine gave up about 5 years ago and a local clock/watch repairer replaced it for about £12.

Duncan99210-I also have had a look this morning(should have made Ebay my first call) but apart from one advert in the States(£30 odd with postage),all the ones I've seen so far are just the 'single hand' versions which don't give the time as well as the tide(four hand version).But thanks for your help,it is appreciated.

Kolster-this is what we have also done as a temp job.Our local 'horologist' charged us the same to fit a three hand movement ie time only.Too be honest,it was worth the £15 just to see around his workshop.It sounded like the opening to that Pink Floyd song.I was going to ask him what it was like in there at 12 o clock until I noticed that all the clocks were set at different times.

Sorry, should have read the first post properly, my clock was a standard movement, not a tide clock.

Replacement tide-clock movements seem to be available on ebay for a few pound Can't say if they are a "drop-in
"" repair for the Nauticalia item.
