For the last couple of weeks we have been exploring the Fens so here are just a few of the pictures from what turned out to be a great two weeks away.

Brilliant. Some very pretty waterways and countryside and relatively uncrowded. What with these photos and those of the recent upstream Thames cruise, I'm beginning to get the urge to leave open salty waters and venture inland, at least for a while.

We like a bit of variety. Our summer holiday last year was coastal heading up to Newcastle so this year we fancied something a little different and headed inland to the Fens. We had not been before so it was exploring waters new to us.

Next summer the OH wants to head back down to the Norfolk Broads so that will be a mixture of more coastal cruising then this year to get from Lincoln to Lowestoft but also some inland cruising on the Broads as well.
