I am looking to leave my career in publishing for a life on the ocean waves (available, for any location, from the end of June 07). I have been thinking about making this move for a while: now is the time. I will be well-suited to this job: I have my Competent Crew practical and Day Skipper theory yachting levels, completed as part of the UKSA professional water sports instructors’ qualification, with this I also gained my powerboat and radio licences, and my First Aid certificate. I have been involved with the sea since I was young and am passionate about sailing. I love to entertain, fine food (the cooking of it especially) & socialising; I have lots of catering experience - serving and organising - I am efficient, thorough and always willing to help. I can speak a couple of (other) languages if that's any use too.

If anyone is looking for someone like me to be part of their crew, or knows anyone who would, I would be extremely grateful if you would you let them/me know.

Please send me a PM for contact details etc.

A huge thank you, in advance, to anyone who reads this and can help in any way.

If you can find a partner who can skipper, try The Moorings. They often require couples, skipper / hostess teams for their yachts in the Caribbean. You sound ideal for the job. Contact them direct, you may find a slot just for hostess or for holiday cover etc or they may find a skipper for you.
The money itself is not great, but the tips can be.
Definitely worth a try.
