...against wind farms at sea, or on board the land?

Or am I at risk of taking a joke seriously?

"Nuclear Waste Fades Your Genes"

But I wonder...is it worse than nickel, cadmium, lithium, mercury, acid etc from batteries? Is it worse than what is ejected from coal plants? Although it does last a long time, so does plastic, the difference is that we throw plastic into the environment every day whereas nuclear waste has to be disposed of properly and looked after. The worst thing about nuclear waste is that you can't see it harming you and that scares people disproportionately to the danger.

For Xxxxxx insert any word or term of your choice.

Any one who is not a member

If the National Trust are against wind farms, it will make a refreshing change with them actually saying something useful for a change...

+1 Probably means that somewhere in the country someone wants to build a farm where THEY do not want it.

The National trust are not a organisation I care for, I have run into them stopping me and others doing the most basic activities all over... Caving, Walking etc

In Newtown Creek I guess all on here know that he only asks for donations if you are at anchor? it is not a charge.

Polite way to get out of "payment" is to say your already a member, the not so polite way is to advise him "you do not give to terrorist organisations ".

Must stop rant now or will take over this thread

One of their number once drove a landrover at speed along a bridleway in Cornwall to tell me not to cycle on it because I would cause erosion. Next to his tyre tracks and the horse prints you'd be hard pressed to have seen my wheel marks!

I can see a new pressure group forming, "Sailors Against Wind Power!"

I'm certainly not against wind power, it just gets annoying when people talk about it as the answer. I think we'd be better off removing the national grid and requiring all power to be generated on the property where it's used :D
