I have just acquired a Sadler 26 with a NASSA Clipper wind indicator fitted. The wind direction works fine but the mast head unit is missing the anemometer cups. Can anyone advise whether it is possible to buy the mast head unit separately or even get it repaired? I've "Googled" without success!

Thanks
Morgan

You can get the cups separately. Any NASA retailer should be able to get these for you - around £13.00.

Morgan, I have repaired my masthead unit several times as they are not the most durable. Before you order a new set of cups, please ensure that the little stainell steel shaft that they are mounted on is still there. Beleive it or not, over time, the plastic hub of the cups wears the stainless shaft which then snaps off. This happened to me. In theory the stainless shaft is not replacable and you have to buy a whole new masthead unit. However, if you moan to NASA they will mail you the little shaft (they did not charge me!) and then you have to disasemble the masthead unit, extract the moulded in shaft (not easy!) and Araldite in the new one.

Hope this helps.
