Nasa SX-35 - external speaker - switching

Hi,

I have a nasa sx-35, and just brought a external speaker for the cockpit.
Whats the best way to wire them up?
Idealy i want to be able to: -


switch to internal speaker only
Switch to internal and external speaker.
switch to external speaker only.

and

Switch CD player to external speaker as well.

Been searching maplins, not to sure what kinda fo switch system i need?

Yes, but depends on what CD player you have.

Does the cd player have an aux in? you could plug the sx-35 into that with a line adaptor and drive the lot with your cd player.

Otherwise it's complicated switch time, using 3 or 4 way rotary switches.

Have a speaker by your radio and your usual one outside and have the radio set to external all the time. That would do it.

Most radios use a contact on the socket for the external speaker so that the internal is disconnected automatically when the plug is pushed in. Thhe only way you can get internal speaker is to pull the plug out. Which gives you simple switching unless the plug is hard to get at. In which case consider another internal speaker with a switch. olewill
