nasa meteoman \"spikes\" in wind history

I've got a nasa meteoman onboard which I'm very happy with, however, in the wind history page there are always 'spikes' where the wind seems to shoot up to twice or more what is is for a moment. Does anyone else get this or is it something wierd on my boat?

Don't think it's gusts. Looking at the display now there are a few which go from around 5Kn to over 40, I'm wondering if it's interference from the fridge or something like that. It doesn't affect the usefullness of the unit, I'm just interested where they come form.
