Why do you want to open it up? The chances are that there is nothing inside that you can adjust or repair, and if it is under guarantee you will almost cetainly invalidate it.

Certainly.... mine said that if I didn't use the rubber seal on it, then any faults are my fault and would not be covered.... so unscrewing it would certainly invalidate it.
To remove the back on the wind display just undo the four screws and pull apart. There is an o ring that may stick a little but it will come apart without damage. The display board is tucked under a flange at the top so juggle it out carefully. If the four keys drop out don't panic you just put the unit face down, stand the keys back in the holes and replace the display back on top. There are no adjustments in the display unit. As the reader points out all the adjustments are in the mast head. As I understand it you shouldn't tweak those pots without special test equipment . They cotrol the sine and cosine voltage and offset what ever that is.
I opened mine up to dry it out - the display used to fog in certain conditions. The back just prises off after removal of the screws. I warmed and dried the unit with a hair dryer on a nice dry, cool day and its been fine since. I used a tacky sealer around the joint on closing it up.
