Looking for a stand alone echosounder.

Is the NASA Clipper range any better than the cheaper Target range?

Only features required are a shallow water alarm, backlight and oilbath internal transducer (so no hull hole needed.).It wont be interconnected to any other displays.

Yes. It has an averaging function that all but eliminates the jumping around that the target suffers from,+ the other fuctions can be adjusted to your taste. very stisfied with mine does what it says on the box.

Re pamapas/mark thanks for the replies.I think Ill save £20 and go for the Target one.

Sorry to hear of your Radar problems Mark.

I had a target on my old boat......absolutlety fine - didn't see any problem with fluctuations etc

my new boat has an elderly echo sounder and when it igves up the ghost i'll probably get a target - unless anyone can convicne me the exztra £20 gets me anything extra!
