Hi-

My repeater is terminated with a screened cable, with a black and a red conductor inside.

The manual shows this as connected to a RS232 adapter. I don't have this bit.

It's powered up with the screen as neg/earth and red as 12v pos. Currently reading 'no gps signal'.

Previously working ok with a Garmin 128 so adapter not essential.

I want to attach it to a 9 pin serial lead for my laptop.

What goes where please? I'm a little loth to connect NMEA in/out to 12v....

Thanks-

Thanks Colvic-

That manual is a slightly different version to my paper one. Both of them refer to data in as blue, mine's black, which worried me a tad.

I've got it connected back to the Garmin 128 and it's fine.

My ideal is to route plan on the laptop, send to the Garmin to avoid it's stone age input methods, let it repeat to the NASA. PC off, minimum current drain.

I think I'd need to change ser ports from the BT gps while I do that.

Less ideal, leave the laptop running and send the route to the repeater. However, Memory map doesn't seem able to select two ports, one in for the gps, another out for the repeater?

Still about a 5 outside Pwhelli....
