Why my battery monitor Nasa BM 1 shows "charge", (0.3 Amp. +-)instead of "discharge" after been charged the servitude battery hours before and thus remains ?. The wires installation of the monitor is correct and permanently connected. The other battery (start) is separated and both are new.
Opinions are welcome.

It might not be calibrated correctly. If you are sure there is nothing drawing any amps when it show 0.3A, I think you can zero it.... how will be in the manual.

This is from the BM1 manual:-

Setting the zero-current
If no current is flowing into or out of the battery and a residual current is shown on the display, the reading can be adjusted to zero.
With no current flowing into or out of the battery, press V&A until the residual current is shown. Now press the TIME key or the A-Hr key to bring the value to zero. (Note: eight presses of the key alter the setting by 0.1A). The desired setting is stored when the V&A key is pressed to move to the other setting again, or the ILLUM key is pressed to exit Engineering.

I think before carrying out the zero current adjustment I would check with an ammeter that there really is no current although its difficult to see where a charge current would come from if no charging device is connected/ in operation.

I don't know if it is relevant to this case or not but bad connections in the in-line fuse in the positive supply to the monitor have caused problems to some people in the past. Well worth checking and/or replacing the fuse holder with a better type.

Thanks all.
No solar or windgen, only alternator or 220 V charger.
Instructions of the manual observed ( zero current adjustement, connection wires, etc ).
Nevertheless, I´ll chek again, surely I´ve done something wrong.
I´ll say you if problem solved.
