Hi Again,
Got a NASA AIS engine connected to PC, with a new rail mounted aerial, works pretty good with the supplied SOBvMAX software, but can't get anything else to work, Seaclear or shipplotter.
Am sure its working as we sit watching the various ferries coming and going from St Peters Port.
Any ideas?
Regards
Roy

are you trying to do this at the same time as running the other one, cause it wont work.

Shipplotter is great software but like most of the better ones, needs to be told which comm port to use.

Hi Talbot,
No closing the other down and making sure it has stopped in task manager.
Pointed shiplotter to correct com port and baud rate, set coms to 8,n,1 no flow control as the manual states.
All with no joy.
Will keep trying
Regards
Roy

Have you tried the illogical but usually successful trick of restarting the PC? I had to do that on one occasion to switch between the two programs.

Also, if you are not familiar with Shiplotter note that there is a "start" button to start receiving the AIS input. Took me a while to spot that.
