Has anyone got, or knows where I can obtain, a rowlock for a Narwhal rib. It's a plastic collar with a metal pin attatched. Thanks

I bought mine from an Avon liferaft dealer in Southampton, though I gave this contact to another forumite recently who came back and said the company had stopped dealing with narwhal. I bought mine for my tender, not a rib, but I guess they are probably the same.

At the time I bought mine I also found a chandlers in Conwy North Wales who said he stocked them, I can't remember why I used the Southampton place now, maybe it was postage.

I do not remember the name of the place in Conwy, but try yell.com for chandlers in Conwy, Llandudno, Bangor and give them a call, one of them definitely deals in Narwhal parts and can get what you need. I have a feeling they did not have a website.

The pair I bought has a grey plastic band to go around the oar, with an adjustment knob to tighten it onto the shaft (ooer). The actual rowlock stainless pin has a locking arrangement which requires you twist it into the dinghy holes, does that sound familiar. The dinghy is here at the moment I could photograph it on if you like to see if we are talking about the same thing.

p.s. Caps is considered shouting on the interweb ;(

Sounds exactly the right part, held together with a very small diameter
bolt with plastic nut tightener which is not up to the job and snaps and
goes overboard! I think I know the chandlers in Conwy, on the left just
before you get to the bridge it can be seen from the duel carriageway,
don't know the name though.
Didn't know about caps, just trying to attract attention to my plight!
Thanks for responding to a shouted request though
