Napoli was refloated after a two hours operation this morning and is now under the control of tugs. She is to be taken into deeper water so that divers and other surveyors can assess her condition before she is taken away
Extraordinary, not quite. Until they are fully aware of her condition, and the weather forecasts, where she goes is not easy to decide.
As I understand it they are now awaiting a condition report before deciding.

Extraordinary really isn't it?! They've had months to decide yet they haven't!

I imagine that the final decision can only be made following inspection of the hull while it is subject to dynamic forces afloat. Wasn’t a dodgy hull lengthening job the trigger for this whole saga?
Presumably the decision to refloat is based on more than a Navtex 48 hour weather report. Do we have a period of settled weather ahead and could now be a good time to start a summer cruise?
