Hi All

Would anybody have any idea who manufactures/manufactured the pivoting, cast mast base on my Nantucket Clipper 32 Yawl? She was built by Offshore Yachts in 1972

Gratefull for any information. Thanks!

Paul

Have you tried posting your query on the OYCO web site? -

Hi dickh

Tried that, - wrote to the guy that runs it, no ans as yet. I will also contact the owners Assn. There were about 230 of them made so I'm hoping someone out there might have a clue!

Cheers!

I've just joined the PBO forum and spotted your Nantucket Clipper enquiry. As another N.C. owner I was also enquiring about masts and rigging (which I believe are original). Not much help, I'm afraid, but here is a reply I received . .

Thank you for your enquiry, although I don't have very good news for you I'm afraid. Your masts were made by SS Spars who were based in Northampton, unfortunately the company went bust about 15 years ago. I have made enquiries with one of our agents who worked for the company many years ago, and apparently all records were lost/destroyed at that time. He has also said that it is not possible to obtain spare parts for these masts any longer.
Please don't hesitate to get in touch if there is anything else that I can do for you.

Kind regards,
Mandy Boughton

You might be able to get one cast if you've still got the bits. When mine broke I had it welded but the guy who did it said it was an option if the weld broke.
