Has anyone used any Nanopro treatment products on their hull or top sides and, if so, what do you think of the results when compared to using conventional polishing/waxing products from the likes of 3M/Farecla/Meguiars?

Do you have a link to their site?

I seem to recall they are more automotive based.

It may seem obvious, but why do you ask?

Thanks Allan, there are a few under the Nano banner. Nano pro / Nano tech etc.

These seem to be automotive and marine, I haven't used any of their products as yet, but would be interested to hear back if you do decide to use them.

I will see if I can get some freebie samples from them :) purely for evaluation!

I wouldn't want to presume, but I doubt they will compare well to the tried and tested prep side of the product range, but 3M, megs and farecla don't really offer any products that claim to be hydrophobic coatings.

Have found that most companies offering hydrophobic or even super-hydrophobic products fail and are a pain to remove.

You have to kiss a lot of frogs!

I asked the boatyard to clean my hull while OOW couple of weeks ago. The invoice mentioned nano something cleaning. It looks nice and clean but I haven't noticed anything special, though I haven't studied closely and I don't know exactly what they did. I'll look again...

The above nano website displays a bit of a knack for choosing not quite the right word: "We are researching for the most progressive ways to ameliorate the looks and life of all surfaces saving time and money for professionals and everyday people." Aiming to be better than a frog, but not a dazzling prince. A dog perhaps :)

We use only Nanopro products and supply them. in our experience they are a superior product, easier to apply, less product used and speedier results. I think your boat may have been treated with another 'nano' product.
