The funny thing is, the crew member originally 'tied' (that is a relative term) up to the concrete vehicle bollard (which isn't exactly well founded, but . . ) and then changed his mind and banged in (not very far) two little steel bars. And then the 'knot'. The 'skipper' watched and then wandered off into the distance. I've seen knitting wool tangles more secure than that and some of my lines, given half a chance, create near-perfect knots just by being left alone in the locker.

Oh yes, the boat. About 25m long and 5m wide. How many tons? A lot. :eek:
