Hi,
I have recently purchased a 1968 NAJADE 900 that sat at a dock with little maintenance for 17 years. I looked it over as well as I could in 5 hours aboard. I didn't hire a surveyor as my 40 years of sailing and repairing boats gave me a fair idea what to look for.
My question is, not having found any access to keel bolts through the cabin sole, (without taking dinette, floor and water tank out), where are the dang things? I've found one in front of the head, midship, but it seems too far forward and too far away from the cast iron bolt on keel to be one.
I was neglegent on looking at the bottom of the keel when I took it out of the water to inspect. Are there very long fixed bolst from the bilge down with nuts on the bottom. Any help with who to talk to or other Najade 900 owners would be appreciated.
This is the type boat I'd looked for years to own and with a history of being curcumnavigated twice and am currently restoring to her former glory.
Cheers from NZ, Bill
