By Dusk and by Dawn's early light on mystical Lough Derg

Last evening - Friday

Starboard - Dusk on Derg as the sun slumbers into the western sky

To port the moon rises

The moon is all the light that's left as the western sky has faded for another day

This Morning - Saturday

The eastern sky's warm glo hint's at an immenant sunrise

Higher she rises in the eastern sky, but I'm as far from the bustle of the east coast as I can imagine

Parker Point - I'm on deck in shorts and a tea shirt

Dawn's early mist rising and burning off as Lough Derg awakes to a beautiful day

I'm now at anchor starring in awe at this beautiful bliss - Aren't we lucky to live in such a pretty country

Hi Celtic Mist. Started raining here now also, but fab yesterday and this morning. Tomorrow looks good, I think I saw your boat on a mooring when we cruised around to Dunmore last summer. A childhood haunt of mine every summer, even after we left waterford.

Hey Froggie, brilliant pics and I also like the tractor shots over on ClubPowerBoat.ie - good stuff.

Lovely weather over our way too - typing this with sore arms from sunburn.

Looking good for another few days and an Azores High is developing nicely which just might bring a nice bank holiday weekend.

Are you heading around to the South West again this season ?

We're off to North Wales Friday evening / Saturday morning and down to Cork in a couple of weeks.

Hi SV2. Sailing this week on Derg, and hopefully heading out to Dingle and Kinsale at the weekend. Depends on the hydro dam. They've been running all turbines 24x7 due to the recent rainfall, so the tail race is running at 12kt, but hopefully by next weekend they'll be down to only one or two turbines. Much safer getting down the abbey river into Limerick and under the bridges if the flow more civilised! Enjoy the trip to wales. Few pals of mine on flock of Brooms leaving for Dingle and Kinsale tomorrow. Who needs Hogwarts? /forums/images/graemlins/smile.gif
