If you want to do any sailing you definitely don't want to do that.

I have only dinghy sailed for two days - off Tenby in 505 trapeze thingy. I was good weight on day one - on day two my son said that I could helm. I capsized it with the spinnaker up about a mile off the beach. Luke had to swim under the boat and release the spinny so we could right the boat - good job he wasn't wearing a bouyance aid

I have a foot in both camps regarding this.....

A racing boat for Sunday and Wednesday night fun = great.
