This is one of those systems that comes in many parts and is designed to be easily installed by the user. Mine has been connected to the wind, echo, log and remote control.
Have completed the harbour set-up functions, but due to inclement weather have been unable to complete the sea set-up functions.

It all worked for a day or so but I now have the following symptoms:
1) control screen alarms briefly and then goes completely blank and no sound/function from any of the buttons.
2) Continued to operate on the remote
3) after some fiddling around with disconnecting and then re-connecting control panel it appears to work again. After an hour or so control panel packs up again.
4) Does not work on remote any more.
5) Instruments still working (powered via Pilot)

I'm off to the boat again today to try an determine what is wrong. Will disconnect the instruments and remote from the pilot and see if I can get it working as a stand alone unit.
Fuses within the controller are OK

Has anyone had similar problems with their Raymarine pilot ??

Cheers
Homa

morning,
probably worth checking all connections/plugs. my old old st went wibble the other day on the way to guernsey, turned out bad connections in the plug.
Also last year drilled a new hole thro the bulkhead for a new cable and drill just caaught a sensor cable, shorted 2 wires and caused no end of grief for a month. only found it 'cos i ripped the whole thing out to throw it overboard. when i saw the cable i said some thing like DOH!!!!
regards
roy
