I dont need one for this. I have a Captain, crew, galley staff & everything. I just have to turn up for a month at a time & tell them where to go. Cushtie!!

It has a Captain. crew and galley staff and h00 "turns up and tells it where to go". He could tell them to go to the Solent and we could have a MoBoChat Laying-up Supper onboard. /forums/images/icons/laugh.gif
In fact, if we were really careful, we could probably hide our little treasures aboard for the winter and they wouldn't notice.

Not smart enough to be the Captain, but that seems like too much responsability too me. Mind you with full DP class II, not such a difficult job but still carries all that weight on his shoulders.

The DP system uses several reference systems to co-ordinate, GPS, Tautwires & on locations at rigs etc, a lazer fanbeam system using reflector on the installation & also an Artemis?? system. DP system use 3 computers for failsafe capability. It's still an ugly brute now 17 years old, but is still the biggest & most succesful Oilfield Stimulation Vessel in the business.
