"At 40 knots you can hear the pounding of your heart above the roar of the engine."
Surely that can't be good for you.
To be that frightened.......

Change of plan AGAIN he doesn't want one of these now!!!!!!!

He wants to see how big a tender we can fit on the bow. Probably about 20ft but the weight will be an issue so it'll need to be a rib.

Bow Tender

bow tenders are good for being able to launchem whilst stern-to of course, but you do spend time at the wheel looking up the arse of this sodding rib. It'll need really really nice covers, or lecky pod cover thing is better , otherwise it may well turn a really nice part of the boat to be at and look at whilst at sea - into a bit of no-go-area, and a bit of a dump. all imho.

Re: Bow Tender

The wheelhouse is 15 ft above the bow deck so I have no problem with the view. My only concern on the bow is when the weather turns nasty. It get seriously wet up there on the bow. The two jet skis live up there and they've been ok so I'm sure it'll be fine.

Re: Bow Tender

Don't you have any room for them on the top deck or bridge deck? They would have to be very well secured on the bow deck - wouldn't put heavy tenders there myself though.

Just curious:...

Where - and above all, with which kind of crane - was the 28' of the original plan going to be placed?
A 111' is a lot of boat for sure, but 4 tons of tender seems too much for it, imho...

Re: Just curious:...

It's back on the cards again, owner didn't like the price of the new crane so has decided on a Chris Craft once again. Although I did manage to get a seriously good deal on one.
$100,000 with all the tows inc heritage I and twin Volvos
Normally $137,000

The Chris Craft will be towed, although with a 220 mile range driving it is also an option in some instances. (even with the petrol engines)
