Well at least it might discourage her owner from asking Solent Coastguard for radio checks, after he has had to spell it a few times.

IS it a registered name ? If so I'm very surprised.

I remember a Feeling type boat called 'That Sinking Feeling', I bet she's not called that now...

And there the old favourites

'Red Alert' ( boats for miles around with crews tumbling out of bunks )

and 'Shy Talk' which I did consider calling my Osprey dinghy, at least a bird theme...

I have seen 'Shy Tot' and 'Fartybartplast' the latter was asked to spell the name by Poole Quay marina a few years ago. The laughter could be heard for miles!

A bit pointless having a stupid name especially if you need to call someone on the radio.

My first boat, a sailing dinghy of uncertain marque, was named "Lucy Lastic"
Had a charming little painting on the transom of a buxom blonde holding up her knickers - main reason I kept it so long.:)

"Trisco" (sp?)

Apparently the name of a purified cooking lard.

The owner was from 'oop North' and liked Spoonerisms.

The boat was, of course, a catamaran.

:)

a boaty nursery rhyme is recalled to mind, tcm:-

Si sot, mare, je ris d'eau
J'hoquet, chat lave ennui mât stère.
Et châle Ève bèta panne y aider
Bécots. Si Carnot turc et n'y fasse taire

You will recall that Carnot was a French mathematician who was a pioneer in the principles of thermodynamics. Without the Carnot cycle, heat engines would not work, so mobo-ists should feel particularly grateful.
