SWMBO finally took pity and bought me a 'bodyboard' at a boot-sale.

It shall be launched into the freezing English Channel next week.

I've christened her MFV Dank Rain. Seemed appropriate. (That's Miserable Floating Victim).

If you see a fat, wetsuited non-swimmer like a giant pear in a psychedelic condom, wallowing and gasping, it may not be too late to call 'Mayday'...

I'd carefully check for any new life insurance if I were you; I know the Osprey was a bit big for the garage, but I fear the pendulum has swung the other way a tad far...

Good advice, alarming thought! I'm afraid the Osprey was also too big for my wallet, this season...if we can call it a season...I'm already thinking about saving for end-of-year bargains, when some old boat becomes too much hassal for her owner to want to keep it...

...though how to fit a 17'6" hull in 16' garage, continues to evade easy answers. Not to mention the 23' mast...

The relentless rain has made not having a boat, much easier to bear. The plan with the bodyboard is to get so wet, rain can't spoil the day! Also, it was only the price of a decent loaf of bread...
