I have gone and bought myself a new boat, will be signing the papers this morning.

All was well on the survey and she wll be on my pontoon this afternoon and as we have cracking weather out here today I think I will take the day off and go to Herm for dinner should take me about 25 mins but probably longer as still learning to sail.

I know Hunters have taken alot of stickin the past on the other forums but I think she will do well as a family boat and b just right for cruising local waters.

Ooooohhhh very excited now. BTW she is called Revolutions as I thought against calling her Matrix II

Dom

I havent had chance to take a decent photo yet as everything moving so fast.

Oh, ha, ha, thats almost as funny as the BMW advert in todays newspapers

Hunters are good little boats. Sailed a few and they're very forgiving. Some fittings can be on the "economical" side of things but your probably change these over a period of time. Actually I'm quite envious /forums/images/graemlins/shocked.gif

Re: oi! i saw the edit!

Eh, wot edit? There's no way Depsol would ever get a saily boat because he'd lose all credibility when he lectures us about his snake oil

Re: oi! i saw the edit!

SNAKE OIL ....oi watch it /forums/images/graemlins/wink.gif

And why cant you use Soltron in a saily boat? Any way went sailing last week and quite enjoyed it. Fell asleep mind you but I still enjoyed it.

Oh and to all the people who fell for it APRIL FOOLS !!!!

Trouble is I do one every year and its expected now although 2 years ago I did a very good one and loads I mean loads of people fell for it.

Look out I will be doing a very cunning one next year, would have done it this year but didnt have time.

Dom

Re: er sorry

ah, i must've seen another post. Guesthat makes me "got" as well, foolwise.

incidentally, there's a nice clip of the panorama spagetti trees on the bbc website that my parents still talked about 20years later...

Re: oi! i saw the edit!

Hey, as one of your customers I'll call it wot the f**k I want! /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif
What do you do with it on a saily boat - paint it on the sails so the boat goes faster?

Re: er sorry

Oh yes I remember the spag trees very well and I think you're showing your age here 'coz they were definitely black and white rather than colour so that must make them 35yrs old at least

Re: er sorry

Blimey, 1957! No, I dont remember it all. Never seen it, never heard of it and I'm sure my parents were too young to remember it as well

Well done Dom, you know it makes sense! Really enjoyed the delivery trip with Gludy partic when we experienced F10 wind against tide in the Alderney Race .. really tested the boats stability. Good idea to get the jet drive optional extra instead of the usual crappy volvo. TCM will be green with envy!
