My Navman 3150 was purchased in January 2003 and was subsequently replaced later in 2003 under warranty. The replacement failed in November 2005 and was repaired by the replacement of the PCB at a cost to me of £167.43. The fault which was the loss of the LCD display has again repeated itself. It is obviously a design fault and I am wondering whether anyone else who has had this problem knows whether it has now been fixed.

Yes, I've had lots of trouble with a Duo instrument and commented on here about it in the past. Navman have at last sent me what they promise is the latest version with a new LCD screen, only time will tell, about three months is the usual period.

I've now been told by the Navman service centre that the repair is only guaranteed for one year which is a bit of a B***. I'm still awaiting a reply from Plastimo on the design fault issue as I'm reluctant to shell out a further £200 on a flawed product. The problem is that I don't like the other options.
