\"My Lady Jane\" 27ft6in motorsailer b c1953 Johnson and Jago
I was wondering if anyone has any information on a motor sailer built in 1953 by Johnson and Jago in about 1953. She was originally 'Lady Jane' but an administrative? requirement of Lloyds reg required it to be changed to 'My Lady Jane'.
She had a central cockpit and was almost life boat shaped. When new, and for many years, she was painted 'yachting world blue' and had bright red sails.
She was summer moored at Burnham until about early 60s and wintered back at Johnson and Jagos.
Lloyds register listed her for this time.
She was sold to a Mr Gr.......ay Brown of Wimbledon? sometime early 60s.
Seen in Medway late 60s.
She had a sister boat Kaysona (don't know correct spelling) built J & J soon after. She lay off Leigh/Westcliff for many years.
Would love to know where she is now.
