...for a few hours?

I find myself in Abersoch and in the mood for a sail, but for 3 hours the nice man at the rental place wants nearly the price I paid for my boat.
Can't afford that.

Does anyone know of a dinghy I could get my hands on for a few hours on the water with my girlfriend?
Not looking for anything too fancy, just something something big enough for a couple of grown-ups to sail. Me to get my fix and her to practice her recently acquired RYA Dingy Level 2 skills.

Happy to drive a little way if it means something a good bit south of £30 to £40 an hour... something local would be better though.

We've both sailed GP14s and Wayfarers, and I crew an RS400 in the club series. Happy with asymmetrics, not quite wrapped my head around actual spinnakers yet, but would just as happily not use a kite at all if all I can get is something with a traditional spinnaker.

Depressing, how few of the boat-rental businesses (of which there aren't that many around the UK coast), offer sailing dinghies.

Bank-holidaying townies naturally like motorised boats which go wherever they're pointed, like floating dodgems. And lots of plump over-tanned liquid-lunching urbanites also still seem to derive fun from a 'pedalo' on the beach...

...but sail? I have hired sailing dayboats before, in three places on the same ten miles of coast...but it was in Queensland, Australia.
