My Funeral

In the Med theres so much heavy metal even the fish are into it!Good place for you then?History and sun!

Im not sure about all this internment business!I wouldent like to be drowned just becouse id died! If it asked in theory about death i might think of being interened with my boat then id have my PPC wine bilge books and SSB that way it wont be so boreing!

Only thing is no one but no one in europe uses a SSB and a portable phone wont work as your account will close with death.

Hi Trouville,

Was thinking of a burning sailboard rather than interment, probable be health and
saftey issues for the deceased knowing this daft country,

Not heard of "standing on the shore" that you mention. Is this it?

Through the mist my ship has sailed, leaving me behind
All things left unsaid, that were in my mind
When I stood on this deck, strange things I saw
Strange they have vanished now
I'm standing on the shore

Sandy hills all around, nothing standing clear
Softly light is falling through, time was never here
When I stood on this deck, stranges things I saw
STRANGE THEY HAVE VANISHED NOW
I'm standing on the shore

Headlands fading out of sight, horizons disappear
Hazy shores and silent seas, nothing DO I fear
Air and water, grass and sand, merging into one
In the silence of the mist, I am still alone
When I stood on this deck, strange things I saw
Strange they have vanished now
I'm standing on the shore
Standing on the shore

Nope,

I am standing on the sea shore,
A ship sails in the morning breeze and starts for the ocean.
She is an object of beauty and I stand watching her
Till at last she fades on the horizon and someone at my side says:
"She is gone."

Gone! Where?
Gone from my sight - that is all.
She is just as large in the masts, hull and spars as she was when I saw her
And just as able to bear her load of living freight to its destination.
The diminished size and total loss of sight is in me,
not in her.

And just at the moment when someone at my side says,
"She is gone",
There are others who are watching her coming, and other voices take up a glad shout:
"There she comes"
- and that is dying. An horizon and just the limit of our sight.
Lift us up, Oh Lord, that we may see further.

I'm having my wake, or even several wakes, before my death - blowed if I'm missing a good party or lots ...

'Another one bites the dust' as the ashes are scattered at sea.

Why wait until dead for funeral? Attend your own and make sure that the speakers treat your life with due respect, enjoy the wake and meet all your old friends.

Then when you do die, there's none of the fuss needed and you won't miss a thing (being dead).

I have found that a quick blast of Deep Purple whilst in a calm anchoraage at about 23:30 hours and 250 watts a channel has made me many new friends al of whom want to get on my boat /forums/images/graemlins/shocked.gif
